NYT creates audio division for podcast development

The New York Times is making a new foray into audio programming, forming a team to spearhead podcast creation. At first, this new division of the news organization will rely on outside partners, such as its Modern Love podcast produced with Boston’s WBUR, that already have an audience. Musicians petition Copyright Office over DMCA

The music industry is taking a stand against the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, with more than 100 artists and managers petitioning the U.S. Copyright Office to change the current safe harbor laws.
