Prisa renews with Triton Digital and expands relationship

We received word today that Prisa, the world’s largest spanish-speaking radio group, and a podcast producer, has re-upped with Triton Digital for a broad range of Triton services. They include delivery, monetization, and measurement of its digital audio assets including live radio, on-demand programming, and podcast audio. Prisa will continue to be measured in the Triton Digital Webcast Metrics Top 20 Ranker of streaming entities. Prisa will also put its podcasts in Omny Studio, a Triton Digital subsidiary. iHeartMedia acquires Voxnest; focus on advertising technology

The consolidation trend which has defined and accelerated enterprise podcasting for the past four years has a new story to tell today. iHeartMedia has reached agreement to fully acquire Voxnest, parent company of the Spreaker hosting and technology platform. Technology is the main impetus for this alignment, from iHeart’s perspective. SiriusXM closes Stitcher: 150M addressable audience, new lines of reporting, Pandora gets more podcasts

SiriusXM has closed its acquisition of Stitcher, three months after the July announcement that the satellite giant would buy the pioneering podcast company. Stitcher joins Pandora as a wholly-owned Sirius company. SiriusXM also has an exclusive ad sales partnership with Soundcloud. Today’s announcement puts the combined audience at 150-million listeners, and calls that reach “the largest addressable audience in North America across all categories of digital audio – music, sports, talk, and podcasts.” Continue Reading

Triton Digital inks Minute Media to use Triton’s hosting, measurement, and ad-tech tools

Triton Digital is announcing that it has signed Minute Media, a digital publisher and platform technology company, to use Triton’s measurement and digital audio advertising technology tools. Triton’s subsidiary, Omny Studio, is involved here — Minute Media will use Omny’s podcast hosting platform to house its 90-plus sports podcasts.
