TuneIn has hired a new CEO, and it is Richard Stern, who comes to the streaming platform from Audible, where he was Chief Product officer. Stern replaces Juliette Morris, who was appointed as  chief executive last summer. Simultaneous with the new leadership, and perhaps connected to it, TuneIn is also announcing today new investment from Innovation Endeavors. Magellan AI releases October Movers and Shakers. Geely (which owns Volvo) on top.

Magellan AI has released the October edition of the company’s Top Movers and Shakers list, a monthly survey of podcast advertisers which have increased their month-over-month spend the most. October’s top mover/shaker is Geely. Who? Magellan explains that Geely is the parent company of Volvo. Geely spent about $2.1-million in October, nearly a $2-million increase over September. Rhapsody International, the parent brand of the Napster music streaming service (originally called Rhapsody) and Rhapsody’s B2B white-label streaming provision service, announced that it is now powering Sonos Radio HD. Stream listening flat in Sep., ESPN gains (Triton Digital Webcast Metrics)

U.S. stream listening in September was steady as a month-over-month metric following August, according to Triton Digital’s Webcast Metrics Top 20 Ranker. While group leader Pandora dipped by about one percent, gains for iHeartRadio, RADIO.COM, and ESPN helped keep the overall ship on an even keel.
