RAB semi-annual report sees growth in digital and off-air advertising

The Radio Advertising Bureau has released its semi-annual revenue report. The results for the first half of 2015 revealed continued declines in spot advertising, while digital and off-air sectors maintained growth. Rdio has introduced a new advertising product dubbed Promoted Music Experiences. This native advertising package is meant to leverage Rdio’s main features, including branded stations, branded profiles, and branded home stories. Pandora has opened a new office in Minneapolis that will help bolster the online radio company’s local advertising efforts. The team will be tasked with developing new contracts and renewing existing ones among advertisers in the area. BandPage/Rhapsody partnership finds success with notification marketing

BandPage and Rhapsody released some insights from their partnership into ways to generate increased revenue within digital streaming. The pair found that push notifications had a vastly higher level of engagement than Google Searches, Facebook ads, and web display advertising.
