The most actively engaged podcast listeners — people who listen at least weekly — are, as a group, falling away from AM/FM listening to an extent, and also streaming internet radio. This is one result of an Edison Research survey, as described by SVP Tom Webster in a webinar. Edison also displayed a top-1o list of podcasts with the greatest reach. Podtrac coronavirus tracking: Continuing recovery of reach and downloads

Podtrac sent us the latest weekly update of U.S. podcast listening, both in downloads and audience, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. (You can see everything HERE.) Its latest data is for the week of May 11 – May 17. Triton Digital Australia Podcast Report: Wondery joins; 5.5M downloads/month reported by Aussie pub

Triton Digital released the latest edition of its Australian Podcast Ranker for a reporting period that includes the month of April — specifically, March 30 through May 3. March streaming down three percent in March (Webcast Metrics)

As we noted in last month’s coverage of Triton’s Webcast Metrics report: “Next month’s March report will be extremely interesting.” Stream listening slumped in March compared to February, perhaps unsurprisingly. The numbers come from Triton Digital’s Webcast Metrics Top 20 Ranker, and RAIN’s monthly tracking of the Ranker over 10+ years. The year-over-year view showed an unusually large 8% decline.
