New ABS Entertainment pre-1972 copyright suit targets Pandora, Sirius XM

ABS Entertainment has embarked on a legal crusade to collect royalties for its pre-1972 recordings. ABS filed suits against broadcast radio groups in California earlier in the summer, and now it has put two digital platforms in the crosshairs as well. Rhapsody to add a new Kids section on mobile

Rhapsody released a video teasing its newest feature: a subset of the streaming service dedicated entirely to kids. This section will feature curated playlists that are fun and child-friendly, as well as the usual discovery and browsing of available artists. Rdio launches new native advertising package

Rdio has introduced a new advertising product dubbed Promoted Music Experiences. This native advertising package is meant to leverage Rdio’s main features, including branded stations, branded profiles, and branded home stories.
