Pandora will be providing its listeners with a day of ad-free online radio listening tomorrow in honor of its ten-year anniversary. Today, the company announced that it will make that ad-free listening available beyond that celebration with the launch of a One Day Pass. The new level of access will launch on Sept. 10 in the U.S. market at a price point of 99 cents per day. The pass will allow 24 hours of ad-free listening seamlessly across a person’s devices and platforms.
This is a pricing scheme that Pandora has been toying with for several months. It allows people to trial the experience of the paid Pandora One service, which costs $4.99. That tier has no ads, more song skips, and higher audio quality than the free version.
