Apple announced a new feature for podcast publishers called Apple Podcasts Delegated Delivery. It enables podcast owners to place free and/or subscription podcasts onto the platform in an operation which significantly streamlines the current process. In the most recent report from the newly renamed Edison Podcast Metrics division of Edison Research, we learn of the top 30 U.S. podcast networks, by reach, according to Edison’s survey-based tabulation. Edison Podcast Metrics is the only podcast measurement service that measures the relative audience size and demographics of all podcast networks in the U.S. As a result, this list is exceptionally interesting to peruse. Edison Research released its Top 50 Most Listened To Podcasts list for the 4-quarter span of Q2/2021 through Q1/2022. In RAIN’s tracking of these lists, we see six new additions, compared to four new podcasts in the previous list, and three new shows in the list before that. Click through for the visual comparison.
