“Driving the Green Book” podcast to launch with distinctive cross-platform Apple integrations

Macmillan Podcasts is launching a new show, Driving the Green Book, which will be extended into Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Books. The podcast, which officially drops tomorrow (but we see the first episode online today), will serve as the hub of a cross-platform suite of experiences. In a blast of information preceding its appearance Friday at the IAB Podcast Upfront 2020, Podtrac/Authentic sent us a ream of data and new show deals. CEO Mark McCrery is scheduled to speak at the IAB Podcast Upfront on Friday. Podtrac data indicate that podcast lilsteneing has rebounded from Covid, and that Spotify is chasing Apple hard in audience reach for podcasting. Apple still easily wins in number of downloads. Pandora Stories celebrates 1,000 milestone [audio]

Pandora Stories is a music/spoken-word hybrid product which pairs songs with artist recollections. In most cases the artists talks for 30-60 seconds about the song’s history (that’s the story part), and then comes the song. Pandora has now produced 1,000 of these stories.
