Lipstick & Vinyl signs two podcasts

Lipstick & Vinyl, the podcast network specializing in female and under-represented podcasting talent, has added two shows  to its network: Amended and The Gatekeepers. They, along with the whole portfolio are represented by Focus 360, which is also an investor in Lipstick & Vinyl.

Amended hooks into the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment ratification, which (belatedly) gave women the right to vote. Host Dr. Laura Free, a historian of women and politics, the show shines a spotlight on many of the lesser known but courageous women who led the struggle to win equal voting rights for women in America.

Here is the latest episode:

The Gatekeepers is about systemic inequality in American society — racial issues such as economic disparity, lack of job opportunities, and access to higher education.

“We are delighted to add these podcasts to our portfolio,” stated Allyson Marino, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lipstick & Vinyl.  “The podcast platform is the perfect medium for underrepresented voices and topics of significant importance, not only to women, but to anyone with an interest in advancing our culture to be more inclusive. The topics discussed in Amended and Gatekeepers draw listeners in, and the high engagement is exactly what advertisers want.”
