Digital audio revenue is mostly derived from subscriptions, which will reach nearly two-thirds of total revenue in 2022. eMarketer projects 2022 as the yeard of greatest divergence between subscription revenue and digital audio ad revenue. In what could be a warning to all podcast networks, and a boost for audio transcription services, the National Association of the Deaf has sued SiriusXM for failing to provide transcripts of podcasts. New information released from Nielsen’s ongoing Podcast Listening Buying Power survey shows that podcast listeners are twice as likely to use food delivery services, according to a research bulletin sent to RAIN.
