Sharon Taylor elevated to CRO, Triton Digital

Veteran podcast executive Sharon Taylor has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer at audio technology and service provider Triton Digital, where she will report to CEO John Rosso. Australia native Taylor spent three and a half years at enterprise podcast tech and hosting company Omny Studio, where she served as Head of Operations, then CEO from 2016 to 2019. Omny Studio intros Shared Listeners tool for network clients

Called Shared Listeners, the new feature allows publishers to determine how many listeners are unique to a particular show and/or shared across other programs in their network. Triton Digital collects Jagran New Media as a client for podcast management and monetization

In the latest addition to Triton Digital’s globe-spanning clientele, Jagran New Media has turned over its podcast content to Triton’s advertising technology, and its Omny Studio unit, to distribute and monetize Jagran’s podcasts. Gaana brings Omny Studio into its platform to fuel Indian podcasting growth

Triton Digital, parent company of podcast hosting and technology company Omny Studio, is announcing today that Omny is being introduced into Gaana, India’s largest audio streaming platform. Gaana is perhaps best known as a music streaming app. But, like Spotify which is a better known brand globally outside of India, Gaana also distributes podcasts. Until now Gaana has mostly traded in Indian-produced shows, presented either in Hindi or English. The Omny Studio portfolio will bring a more global reach with nearly 30,000 podcasts. Access to the private content can be regulated by subscription payment or some other premium system.
