Twitter has added Spotify support to its audio cards. Any of the streaming service’s 30 million tracks can be turned into the audio post on Twitter. However, they will not be full tracks or albums. The cards will only play 30-second previews and will link to the full song in Spotify. Audio cards with Spotify music can appear in regular tweets, or can be the basis of a Twitter Moment. Spotify demonstrated the Moments integration by collecting tweets centered on the concept of “the ultimate summer playlist.”
This is the second recent deal for Twitter’s audio product. The social network announced support for SoundCloud in its audio cards in April.
