Spotify for Podcasters has officially launched. The analytics hub has been in beta since October 2018, and it is now open to all podcasters. Creators whose shows are already distributed to Spotify can sign up and start accessing information right away. People who want to submit their shows to Spotify for consideration can also use the same portal to do so.
The service provides insights including average listening times, episode streams, total listeners, episode retention charts, and follower growth.
Spotify made waves with its expensive acquisitions of Gimlet Media, Anchor, and Parcast this year. In addition to the Spotify for Podcasters analytics program, it has also offered podcast creation tools with Soundtrap for Storytellers and more options for advertisers such as targeting by podcast category.
