YouTube Music and YouTube Premium get broader European rollout

YouTube has rolled out some of its music services to several European markets. YouTube Premium and YouTube Music are now listed as available in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Repbulic, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, and Romania. Android Police said it had received tips that Malta would also be added soon, but the region is not named in Google’s own support pages.

YouTube relaunched its music and subscription platforms about a year ago, and RAIN News reviewed the latest update to its streaming effort. The international rollout began in June 2018 and has now reached 50 countries. A Bloomberg report from earlier this month hinted that uptake of YouTube Music may be a mixed bag, with its Premium version and Google Play Music currently sitting with 15 million paying listeners.
