WideOrbit announces Brian Burdick as new EVP of digital and programmatic

brian burdickMedia technology company WideOrbit announced the hiring of Brian Burdick as EVP of Digital and Programmatic. Burdick will step in as head of WO Central, the company’s buying and selling platform, as well as recent acquisitions Fivia, Abacast, and Admeta.

The hire comes during a period of WideOrbit’s aggressive investment in digital platforms, and also at a key inflection point when the audio industries are recognizing programmatic ad sales as an important dimension of the business. Burdick has held key position in the display and video advertising realms, where programmatic buying is more established. He has a strong technology background. Burdick was Chief Technology Officer of PrecisionDemand (targeted TV advertising), which was acquired by AOL, a leader in programmatic advertising for display and video. He held similar roles at Specific Media and adEcn.

One of Burdick’s key responsibilities will be managing the transition of recently acquired companies. He will also oversee development of WideOrbits digital platforms, sales, and revenue in digital and programmatic.

WideOrbit’s platforms manage $30-billion in annual ad spending.
