TuneCore has announced its formal expansion into the UK. The publishing administrator has been serving UK-based artists for some time, but the new change will allow those performers to continue collecting licensing revenue and pay membership in their local currency.
“With so many customers around the world using our service, our goal is to support them at the local level, in the best way possible,” CEO Scott Ackerman said. “We’re confident that this expansion will further solidify TuneCore’s position as a leader in international digital music distribution.”
Hot on the heels of its partnership/merger with Believe Digital, TuneCore paid out more than $36 million and more than $35 million to artists in each of the first two quarters of 2015.
