Spotify has amped up its partnership with Songkick, bringing Concerts tabs to all artist pages on the streaming platform. Songkick’s data includes listings and ticket links. The two parties have been working together since 2013, with recommended shows added as a Spotify feature in late 2015.
Songkick recently received an influx of new funding. It got $15 million from Access Industries, which is owned by Len Blavatnik of Warner Music Group. CEO Matt Jones said the company would put the money toward growing its technology team, developing concert recommendation tools, and fan connections. “We’re working to ensure that every artist we work with has the tools to get more tickets into the hands of their dedicated fans,” he said.
