The wave of live music integrations into streaming continues, with a new feature emerging from Spotify. The company has added a Concerts feature that displays personalized show recommendations based on artists a person has listened to and their location. The listings are powered by Songkick, and the integration also allows listeners to purchase ticks through Songkick with just a few clicks (or taps on mobile). The Concerts section is part of Spotify’s Browse tab.
Songkick is also providing concert listings and recommendations on Rdio. Other developments in this overlapping space this week include the launch of a subscription at concert specialist nugs.net and the rebranding of Deli Radio as Magnifi.
