Sirius XM announced that it has inked a deal with Drake. The hugely popular artist is at the center of an extensive new partnership. The deal includes “a dedicated station, curated music, and collaborations with creative talent” for the satellite radio company and for Pandora. However, the company did not disclose any additional details about future plans.
Working with Drake marks the first major artist collaboration for Sirius XM and Pandora since the latter was acquired. According to the press release, it is also the largest agreement both brands have embarked on. Since the acquisition, Sirius XM and Pandora have released a cross-platform collaboration called Pandora NOW and Sirius shows have been repurposed as podcasts on Pandora.
