Spotify’s personnel changes continue, with news today of another exit from the ranks along with a promotion for regional management.
Mike Biggane is leaving his post as Spotify’s head of global curation strategy. He will be taking a post at Universal Music Group after another month. Biggane joined Spotify in 2014 and has overseen several playlists for the company, including New Music Friday and Today’s Top Hits.
Spotify has also promoted Sulinna Ong to head of music for the UK and Ireland. Ong joined the company three months ago, but has 16 years of previous industry experience, most recently at Deezer. She will oversee artist and label services for the region as well as leading the music culture and editorial team.
