Jottings of note:
Re-Upping
Audioboom is announcing renewed partnerships with five podcasts: The Broski Report with Brittany Broski, National Park After Dark, The Nateland Podcast, Minds of Madness and Serialously with Annie Elise. (Not a typo.) That cluster of shows is credited with more than 70-million downloads in the past year, Audioboom reports. They are part of the Audioboom Creator Network, which the company says provides “market-leading technology, distribution, production and commercial services.” ONe of the renewed shows, National Park After Dark, is produced by Audioboom.
Exclusive Deal
Acast scores distribution and monetization deal with Little Everywhere production house, run by award-winning journalist Jane Marie. Best known podcasts from Little Everywhere include Dear Jane Marie and The Dream. Marie is a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning journalist, and was a producer of This American Life, and is the author of the celebrated book The Billion Dollar Industry Bankrupting Americans. (It’s about multilevel marketing.) “Her deep knowledge of the industry and always engaging content for audiences around the world make Jane the perfect addition to the Acast Creator Network,” said Tim Ruggeri, US Creator Network Director at Acast.
