Elevation

The Black Information Network (BIN) reaches out in the new year, informing us that radio executive Terry Foxx has been elevated to Vice President News & Content, in a promotion from his previous role as Director of Talk Formats for Central Texas. “I am excited to have Terry join BIN: Black Information Network,” said company president Tony Coles, President. “In today’s rapidly changing media landscape, the role of news in shaping public discourse has never been more important.” Fox, who has had careers at CBS Radio will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of BIN: Black Information Network’s newsroom and its team of journalists, with a focus on development of news content and original programming.” Foxx’s career includes roles at KUT-FM, University of Texas and major stations such as WPLJ-FM New York, B96 Chicago, KKDA-FM Dallas, and WZGC-FM Atlanta. Foxx has earned numerous accolades for his programming expertise and on-air talent, including recognition as one of Radio Ink’s Top African American Leaders in 2024.

 

Leading Intelligence

“New Year, new role, and endless possibilities.” That from Hetal Thaker Patel, who announces her new position as President, Ad Intelligence at iHeartMedia — the company with which she has mostly been associated since 2017, serving several roles related to consumer and corporate insights. For the past six years Patel was EVP, SmartAudio Intelligence, and sales research in general has characterized her career. She was Senior Research Executive at Nielsen in the mid-aughts. IN his latest shift, she is “thrilled to be driving industry impact and partnering with clients to tackle challenges in the advertising world.”
