iHeartMedia lands exclusive U.S. ad repping of BBC podcasts

In a major cross-continental announcement,  iHeartMedia has landed an agreement with BBC Studios to be the exclusive third-party sales partner for BBC podcasts in the U.S.

“We couldn’t be more honored and excited,” said iHM CEO Conal Byrne, referring to “the exploding U.S. podcast market.” Byrne also noted that iHeart deploys “the largest salesforce in the industry,” and hinted at more collaboration in the future.

The BBC launched a dedicated audio unit last year to maximize creative and commercial opportunities in the global market.

“We are delighted to expand our partnership with iHeart to represent BBC podcasts in the U.S. ad market,” said Louise la Grange, SVP,BBC Audio, Digital News and Streaming at BBC Studios.
