Audacy completes bankruptcy process; CEO David Field exits

Broadcasting/audio giant Audacy has closed its Chapter 11 bankruptcy process which started a year ago (RAIN HERE). At this important juncture, CEO David Field steps out of his leadership roles of President, CEO, and board member.

Audacy board member Kelli Turner now seps up as interim CEO. The company begins a search for a permanent successor to Field. Turner sits on several governing boards including Downtown Music Holdings, media measurement and analytics platform DoubleVerify, and DoubleVerify, University of Michigan School of Information. She has spent time with performing rights organization (PRO) Sesac, Capital Partners, RSL Capital, TimeWarner, and other executive roles.

This might not be the final word on Audacy’s reorganization; a newly appointed FCC Chairman is incoming: Brendan Carr. We learn from RadioInk reporting (HERE) that Carr might revisit certain elements of the case.
