Apple Music is expected to get an overhaul to its user experience, and now the rumor is that there will be changes to the Connect social feature. According to 9to5Mac, Apple may lose its prominent place as a standalone tab in the new redesign. Instead, it will likely be integrated into the For You tab.
If this change does come through, it’s most likely an indication that adoption was low among artists, listeners, or both. Apple does have a solid audience base to pull from, recently announcing that it has 13 million subscribers. We’ll probably know for sure what the Music plans are at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
