YouTube Music gets broad rollout for lyrics

YouTube Music is continuing to broaden its feature set. The latest update is an expansion of its lyrics display. Access to a tab with the full lyrics to a song was introduced in the YouTube Music Android app a few weeks ago. Now, YouTube is making the feature available to all users. That covers both the Android and iOS apps for YouTube Music, as well as any paid and free listener. Pulling up the lyrics tab will take over the screen, although it seems that music playback will continue even when the words replace the video.

While the feature is broadly available, content is still limited. Not all videos have lyrics available. The recent launch may mean that more official uploads will be paired with lyrics in the future.
