Vevo has entered a partnership with MediaWorks, an independent broadcaster in New Zealand. As a result of this arrangement, MediaWorks will become the exclusive premium video sales partner for the video platform in New Zealand.
The tie-up “will allow us to reach more New Zealanders than ever before, and be the prime location for any advertiser looking to purchase premium digital content and connect to engaged audiences,” said Glen Kyne, acting chief commercial officer for MediaWorks. “The digital advertising outlook for New Zealand is poised for continuing double-digit growth over the next five years and this collaboration will allow us to capitalise on the ever increasing demand for music videos in the local market,” added Vevo CRO Nic Jones.
The past month was full of activity for Vevo. The company inked a limited deal with Warner Music Group, began seeking a $500 million fundraising round, and secured distribution for clips of MTV’s VMAs.
