Tidal appears to be adding a unique new option for connecting with its library. Billboard reported that the streaming service is launching a free tier called Tidal Access. This service will offer ad-free access to Tidal’s library of video content, but not to any of its streaming audio.
Tidal has a significant catalog of video, categorized into four channels: performances, documentaries, conversations, and spotlight. The channels will feature continuous programming, and some of the videos will also be available on demand for Access users. The plan will only be available in the U.S. at this time.
