Podcast Radio, the interesting all-podcast DAB+ radio station in London, has announced a weekly interview show of its own called The Pod 20. It’s a chart show with a podcaster guest interview.
The show will be hosted by Graham Mack, who will question guests about their shows and what podcasts they listen to.
First guest? Dom Joly, host of Earworm. The future lineup includes Konnie Huq and Liz Owens to talk about Thinking Out Loud and former talkSPORT radio personality Mike Parry to talk about his podcast, Planet Porky.
The chart show will have the traditional countdown format according to Mack: “The rocket that first took man to the moon didn’t
launch until someone counted backwards for a bit!”
The weekly chart of shows will be compiled using a mix of download information and listener recommendations. CEO of Podcast Radio, Gerry Edwards said, “The biggest challenge facing podcasters is discovery. By having a weekly chart that features hosts talking about their podcast, we can help people find interesting and entertaining things to listen to.”
