Spotify has entered a partnership with Headspace for its first joint subscription. People can now subscribe to both Spotify and Headspace’s meditation and mindfulness service for $14.99 a month, a discount compared with paying for the two programs individually.
“It’s the first partnership of this nature where we’ve partnered with another subscription service to enrich a key use case in our service,” said Marc Hazan, Spotify’s vice president of distribution. Spotify has more than 22 million user-created playlists centered on topics like relaxation and focus.
The apps will remain separate for now. But Hazan noted that the parties would monitor and consider additional crossover ideas “if it makes sense.”
