Spotify has embarked on yet another acquisition. The streaming service has bought Niland, a Paris-based machine learning startup offering music analysis technology. Niland’s work has improved how AI can optimize search and recommendation features for music. The company claims that its technology can take less than one second to analyze a music track. The team from Niland will join Spotify’s New York offices.
Spotify has made several acquisitions from the tech and start-up space since the start of the year. The other new additions it its team include MightyTV, Mediachain Labs, and Sonalytic.
