Podcast platform Spreaker announced the launch of its Spreaker Studio app on iOS. The Studio app is centered on the production side of podcasting. It features a web-based mixing console, a sound effects library, and live audio broadcasting. Shows can be automatically posted to Twitter and Facebook or embedded on websites and blogs. There’s also a live chat for audience interaction. Once the show is over, Studio provides analytics information. The company offers several plan levels, with more live broadcast time, audio storage, and analytic data available for the higher tiers.

This new app is a counterpart to the company’s existing Spreaker app, which is designed for discovering and listening to podcasts. Spreaker is on its way to reaching 5 million users, capitalizing on the recent resurgence of interest in the format among both broadcasters and listeners.
