Rights administration specialist Kobalt Music Group has announced some updates to its top leadership. First, Richard Sanders has stepped down as the company’s president and chief revenue officer. He took on the newly created president position in 2012 and will stay with Kobalt until late June. Laurent Hubert, who heads the company’s platform and investments team, will be replacing Sanders. He joined Kobalt last year after a stint at BMG.
Founder and CEO Willard Ahdritz announced the change in a memo to the company’s employees. He also announced some other senior management promotions. Sas Metcalfe, a 16-year veteran of the business, is now chief creative officer. Lonny Olinick has moved from head of strategy to chief strategy officer. Marissa Mencher, formerly a human resources executive, is now chief people officer. Finally, Jeannette Perez has become Kobalt’s president of global synch and brand partnerships.
