iHeartMedia updates audience metrics for iHeartRadio

iheartradio canvasIn announcing its third-quarter financial results iHeartMedia revealed some key updates for iHeartRadio. The streaming platform hit 56 million registered users as of September 30. The current figure marks growth of 43% year-over-year. Listening hours on iHeartRadio also increased 10% over the course of the third quarter, and 59% of those hours happened on mobile devices during the period. Downloads and upgrades for the quarter increased to 434 million.

The press release also mentioned that iHeartRadio is the first music partner for Android Wear. The app is now available on a total of 46 platforms, including wearables, smart TVs, gaming consoles, car dashboards, tablets, and mobile phones.
