Hit podcast SmartLess leaving Amazon for SiriusXM. And taking its 4 other shows.

It is a time of shaking loose from original network partnerships. Just as Joe Rogan and Alex Cooper are changing their exclusive relationships with Spotify (RAIN coverage HERE), the hit podcast SmartLess is leaving its parent network Amazon Music and will be exclusively tied to SiriusXM for distribution and ad sales. The three-year deal is reportedly worth more than $100-million.

SmartLess has been repped and distributed by Amazon since 2021 (RAIN coverage HERE). The pod debuted in July 2020.

SmartLess is the headline property of SmartLess Media, which produces four other shows. Sirius gets them all — worldwide sales rights.

The podcast will be added to an already powerful podcast lineup at Sirius: Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, Crime Junkie, Pod Save America, Office Ladies, and How Did This Get Made are in-house.
