Audioboom announced a global agreement with Panasonic-owned Aupeo, to bring Audioboom’s curated mix of news, sports, comedy, and entertainment audio to the recently-launched Personal Radio by AUPEO!. (See our interview with Aupeo CEO Holger Weiss.)
Audioboom is the leading spoken-word, mobile audio on-demand platform, featuring content from a range of institutional suppliers like the BBC, celebrity bloggers like Russell Brand, and anybody who has audio to share. (AudioBoom is the exclusive sponsor of the RAIN News weekly podcast.)

Aupeo’s Personal Radio by AUPEO! product is a listening platform for digital dashboards. As the name implies, it potentially serves as a complete in-car radio experience, hosting content from a variety of providers, and including localized news and weather. the system is available in over five-million cars in 60 countries.
The business side of this deal is based on revenue-share of Audioboom’s ad-based earnings.
