Hot on the heels of its merger with Triton Digital, podcasting platform audioBoom has shared two more business developments. First, the company has entered a partnership with The Podcast Exchange. Second, it has hired Jenni Skaug as its senior sales director.
The Podcast Exchange is a recently-launched business specializing in connecting podcast publishers and advertisers. Under the arrangement, TPX will be responsible for selling audioBoom’s inventory in Canada. “We are simply delighted to be audioBoom’s strategic partner in Canada,” TPX CEO Jean-Marie Heimrath said. “AudioBoom is our first international signing and supports our business strategy to work with global publishers in partnership with advertisers to harness the full potential of the Canadian Podcast audience.”
“AudioBoom’s partnership with TPX expands our global footprint as we continue to create maximum value for our podcast partners across multiple territories,” audioBoom COO Stuart Last said. “Canada has a rich audio heritage and a passionate podcast fan-base — it is a key market for audioBoom and The Podcast Exchange brings the expertise to connect those fans with brands and advertisers.”
Jenni Skaug has more than a decade of experience in podcast sales. In her new role with audioBoom, Skaug will be responsible for leading brand direct and digital agency partnerships for the company.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the audioBoom team and begin working with their stellar lineup of podcast talent,” she said. “This is an exciting time in the podcast industry and there is nothing better than joining a company that is leading the way in growth and innovation.”
“We’re so pleased to welcome Jenni to audioboom. She brings a wealth of experience to the role, with a unique understanding of how podcasting creates engagement and value for brands,” Last added. “The addition of Jenni to our sales team underlines our growth and reinforces our ambition to dominate the podcast space.”
