Audacy launches AI + transcripts to “hyper-target” podcast listeners

Audio giant Audacy is announcing a dynamic AI and machine learning initiative which promises to deliver precise targeting of ads to listeners.

The company has not lavished its announcement with details, but we know that the solution enables accurate transcription of podcast episodes, and from there , millions of hours of content becomes subject to identifying tags such as business and finance, entertainment, sports, and travel.

Audacy assures clients that this extreme precision  falls within IAB standards.

“Audacy’s advertising partners will be able to hyper-target cohorts with contextually relevant messages within specific podcast episodes and deliver their ads at moments when listeners are most engaged and most receptive to brands, the company states. “And because messaging will be better aligned to podcast content, advertisers will become more additive vs. intrusive to the listening experience.”
