Telstra is offering data-free streaming of Apple Music to all its mobile customers. This new feature, along with three-month free subscriptions to three other video entertainment platforms, beginning Aug. 23. The Australian telecom was one of the first to bundle free subscriptions to Apple Music into its plans after the service launched last summer.
Telecom bundles have been a topic of interest and outside revenue for music streaming for years. The approach of letting customers use some entertainment platforms without it counting against their data plans has been the most recent iteration of how the two industries are collaborating.
