Weekly UK radio reach is 89% at 20 hours; majority ownership of DAB receivers (RAJAR)

The RAJAR data release for Q1 is out. As usual, it shows strong reach of broadcast radio and more use of digital radio (DAB).

In a clear and simple one-page PDF infographic, RAJAR describes the basics of audio listening in the UK, with a focus on radio. On the digital side, 75% of residents (15 and above) tune in to radio via some form of digital platform — they include DAB, digital TV, online listening, station-specific app, and smart speakers.

As the graphic below illustrates, listening to live radio through a phone or table is spread across multiple age groups, before a dropoff in the 65+ set:
