Social media platform Vine announced an expansion of its audio capabilities. The service, which lets users film six-second looping videos, will now have options for seamlessly adding music to content directly within the app with the optional Snap to Beat feature. This new tool can match music to the video in a way that will sync nicely with the endless loops, so you won’t hear the audio change as the loop restarts.
You can add music from your phone to videos directly through Vine, or you can browse the newly added Featured Tracks section. The company is billing this as a way to discover new music. It didn’t share any details about how it would select those songs. The final new feature is that tapping a video will display the information about the song featured in that clip.
