T-Mobile has expanded its data-free music listening to customers on MetroPCS, its prepaid brand. Subscribers on certain plans can listen to 33 music services without the streaming counting against their high-speed data stores. Pandora, Apple Music, Spotify, and iHeartRadio are on the current roster, but more services are slated to join in the future. The MetroPCS program is called Music Unlimited, but is very closely tied to the Music Freedom package provided to T-Mobile customers.
T-Mobile most recently announced a partnership with Beatport to offer customer exclusives from the EDM specialist. The company also has signed on in support of NextRadio’s efforts to activate FM chips in smartphones.
