Spreaker announced that its monetization program has been expanded for use on Spotify. All of its Pro tier podcasters can take advantage of the monetization tools right away. This rollout means that Spreaker podcasts can generate advertising revenue on Spotify alongside Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, iHeartRadio, and other platforms.
Spreaker’s monetization system automatically puts advertisements into the enabled pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll slots without need for specialized knowledge from the podcaster. It can be enabled from the Spreaker content management system. The company noted that it couldn’t predict the exact boost to revenue podcasters can expect with the Spotify rollout, but it anticipated growth as Spotify continues to style itself as a podcast destination and reaches more new listeners.
