Spotify has offered different types of perks to its subscribers over the years, from discounted prices to bundled entertainment packages, in order to help attract paying customers. The latest deal is specifically for its student tier. Eligible listeners under its paid student membership can now access Showtime’s video service for no additional fee. That pairs with the limited commercials plan from Hulu that was looped into the Spotify Premium for Students plan in September 2017. The access tier costs $4.99 a month.
“Spotify Premium has just changed the content game for students,” said Alex Norström, Spotify’s chief premium officer. “By joining forces with Showtime and continuing our relationship with Hulu, Spotify Premium is now able to give students a complete world of music and video content, shows and film.”
