Spotify hires Condé Nast veteran as new chief content officer

Spotify has hired Dawn Ostroff as its new chief content officer. Ostroff will be based in Spotify’s New York office and will head up all elements of Spotify’s content partnerships in music, audio, and video. She was previously president of entertainment at Condé Nast, and has also held leadership roles at The CW Network and UPN Network.

Ostroff is stepping into the role vacated by Stefan Blom in January. Spotify has made a few forays into adding and creating video content. Over the years, the company has commissioned its own original video series, but changes in leadership have led to some shifts in how Spotify approaches this topic.
