Stephen Bryan has joined YouTube as the video platform’s new head of label relations. The appointment will take effect in July. He is still working at SoundCloud as the audio company’s chief content officer through the end of June.
“At YouTube, we have over a billion viewers and thousands of label partners and Stephen is going to be the bridge that brings them together,” YouTube Global Head of Music Lyor Cohen said. “As that crucial link, he’s going to help labels and artists dream up new opportunities to reach fans around the world.”
Bryan announced his plan to leave SoundCloud, where he’s been for three years, at the end of May. Before joining SoundCloud in 2014, he worked alongside Cohen at Warner Music Group.
