Home speaker company Sonos has raised $130 million in financing, according to TechCrunch. The recent influx brings its total funding to about $455 million.
Sonos can sync with several music services, including Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Deezer, Sirius XM, Radionomy, SoundCloud, and Google Music. With those services, you can use an iOS or Android device as your remote control for the speaker system.
The combination of a mobile angle with the power and quality of home speakers could help Sonos gain popularity as more people learn about its products. Wireless speakers were the favored listening technology for a quarter of the respondents in our RAIN Poll from March; we’re curious to see if Sonos is able to push that percentage with its newly expanded budget.
