Shifting Conversation

The third annual (exempting 2020) Afros & Audio podcast festival is November 13-14 as a virtual event. The mission: “Shift the conversation beyond the issues of diversity, inclusion, limited resources, and industry barriers.” Speakers are not identified, but the agenda and registration are HERE.  Tix cost $100-200. Cumulus Media and Imperative Entertainment have launched The Agent, a docupod about Jack Barsky, the longest-surviving known member of the “KGB illegals” program operated during the height of the Cold War.  Barsky hid in plain sight in America for 10 years, all the while leading dual lives on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. It seems to be “The Americans” for real. Twelve eps, three have dropped. APPLE
