Ex-Spotify exec Will Page has posted an insightful column in which he opens several intriguing questions around Spotify’s distribution of audiobooks. How do the royalty economics differ from music? How does audiobook ownership resemble (or not) music ownership? Titled “Spotify, Publishers and (spare a thought for) Authors,” it’s a must-read from one of the smartest minds in media anlysis. The Winner Will Be…

We learn from Helen Parker (Managing Director & Business Affairs, Chalk + Blade) that RadioCentre’s Audio Advertising Awards program is in progress in the UK. This is the final week for submissions. The contest is produced by Campaign, a global business magazine covering media and marketing. It’s an open field, but competitors must submit an entry. They can do so HERE. There is no entry fee.

 

Radio Metrics On Social

In the 2023 edition of its always interesting Techsurvey, Jacobs Media surveyed public radio listeners about their social media use — whether they have a profile on various platforms, and whether they use those platforms daily.
